A beautiful drive along the West coast. It would have been better if the views weren't obscured by giant clouds of sea mist but it was still good. I got some great photos in between the clouds. We stopped at Monterey Bay for lunch which seemed like a nice peaceful location for a weekend break with views of miles of coastline.
Our first destination was Pismo beach, but it was so overcast and actually quite chilly, so luke went in the pool instead. We found a good Italian restaurant for dinner.
The next day, on the way to Ventura beach just 1hour away from LA, we found a cool shopping outlet with a kitchen shop for me! I picked up a few birthday presents for myself. Ventura beach was packed with surfers despite the lack of sunshine. We braved the sea for a bit, then head off for dinner at Denny's for some good old American diner food.
The weather for our trip to Hollywood is much more hopeful.
