Bryce National Park

On the way to Bryce, we took a quick visit through the tidy and exceptionally well dressed Temple Square in Mormonsville, aka Salt Lake City. I have a suspicion that Mormons are actually Men in Black, but I'll never know the secret of the universe unless i join their elite below-the-knee-skirt club. The city is nice enough but it was dead on a Sunday afternoon. The olympic area is cool with unique shops and a fountain area for the kids to splash in.
Onto Bryce, The red canyons here are jaw dropping. We did a short walk which took us down inside the canyon which was full of little surprises like natural bridges and archways made of red stone. It was really cool - I preffered it to the Grand Canyon even. The rock is soft and crumbly, so we came out wishing we had all wore orange though as now our white clothes are covered in orange chalk.
We bought tickets for a "Cowboy Dinner Show" next to our hotel which was good fun. They did whip cracking, lassoing and sang lots of traditional country songs. Luke went a little crazy on the free juice refills and ended up galloping and dancing to the music for a solid hour.
John has gone to look at the stars in the unpolluted air. He said it was incredible and could see the milky way.
